Even if you have the manual safety, you dont have to use it, just leave it OFF and it will be like not having one there, if you want to use it, flip it ON ....

Its The most important thing to be responsible with your weapons, Number one rule make sure the weapon has no bullet in the chamber. This was the most touched on subject when i had basic army training.

If anyone doesnt know, the reason subsonic almost always fails in a non supressed gun is because the supressor adds back pressure and assists in getting the slide to go back since the ammo is weakly loaded to keep the velocity down.

I just got a cross the shoulder M-Tac CCW bag, if I carry one in the chamber I am “ muzzling “ objects, people and my body but the hand gun is secured with a holster? My finger cannot accidentally wrap around the trigger unless I am going to use it?

Very nice mods. TK is great. I had the cylinder on my S&W 44 machined for clips a few years ago by them. I'm extremely satisfied with the work and the turnaround was unbelievably fast. Sweet revolver. Very much relevant for critical defense. Thanks for the video.

If you train, it's easier to train to disengage a thumb safety, than it is to keep your finger from slipping into the trigger guard. I don't care who you are. Everyone makes mistakes. The easiest mistake to make, is accidentally putting your finger in the trigger guard, when you didn't intend to. That said, I carry a dcocked DA/SA CZ P-09. The first DA pull doesn't bother me, because I trained with revolvers before every shooting a semiauto.

Clearing doesn't just mean pull the mag. Pull back the slide slightly and make sure there's not a round chambered. Then the weapon is truly " clear". 👍

I appreciate this. I bought a gun today for the first time and when i noticed i couldnt push the slide stop lever down with my thumb i looked at the owners manual which only explained the issue from the perspective of a loaded gun and not an unloaded one. I figured there would be a youtube video explaining it. Thanks for clearing it up.

Can't get more concealable, simple, reliable, powerful, durable than a Ruger LCR in .327 Federal Magnum. Or you can go with one of the new Distributor Exclusive S&W 432UC in .32 H&R Mag. If the cost is a little prohibitive, you can look at Taurus 327 or a Charter Arms Undercoverette in .32 H&R mag. Trouble with sub-compact semi-autos is they tend to be less reliable than full duty sized semi-autos chambering the same ammunition. They jam more, they malfunction more, they are less easy to control, they are more prone to slide velocity issues (springs, limp wristing, ammo sensitivity). They are more prone to parts of the hand hitting slide stop, mag release, safetys (if equipped). There's just a lot more complexity and the manual of arms is more to wrap your mind around. There's more to know load mag, load chamber, know condition, clear jams, troubleshoot malfunctions, and potentially stop function in a purse or pressed against an attacker. Ammo capacity is the biggest debate on the planet and no one has it solved. There's nothing wrong with a 5- or 6-shot revolver in .32 or .357/.38 and don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

When I was a kid, a gunsmith told me that most firearm problems were caused by the nut behind the gun, LOL. You need to stiff wrist a 1911. Also, if you don't hold a revolver tightly the rounds can jump crimp and jam the gun, especially in a light weight gun. The 1911 was our military handgun from 1911 to 1986, and that should count for something. It killed many a N@zi, kamakazi Jap, and Vietcong.

I open carried in uniform for 30 years but in retirement I prefer to be the Gray Man & keep things concealed. Open carry is legal but always draws unwanted attention from LE when people dial 911.

Good , accurate info. Some other YT channels (including a video on this channel) try to tell us that we are not supposed to ever push down on the slide lock lever. But that actually depends on the gun. Several pistol manufactures mention in their owners manual that you can optionally push down on the slide lock lever to release the slide forward without having to pull the slide back. For example, page 39 of the Sig P365 manual says: "Release the slide by either: a. Pressing down on slide catch lever, releasing slide forward and chambering a cartridge. b. Pulling back slightly on slide and then releasing it to chamber a cartridge"

Okay so it's time for me to take a beating. First, on a Glock, it's not called a slide lock but rather a slide catch. If the nomenclature is all we hang our hat on the how will you change a magazine with that Glock seeing as how it's actual nomenclature is "Magazine Catch" and not Magazine release. That is NOT to imply there are not multiple ways to "drop" the slide on a fresh round BUT, according to the Glock Patent filed in the USA, the Slide catch also functions to release the slide, loading a fresh round into the chamber.
